Clinical Trials Operations & Practice

Purpose

The Clinical Trials division within the ORPCS, Department of Health Equity and Research is committed to supporting the implementation and advancement of clinical trials research as standard of care across all areas of the Stanford Health Care enterprise. This division’s major aim is improving outcomes and safety of clinical trial patients by cultivating collaborative relationships between all members of the study ecosystem to promote improved communication and utilize process improvement principles to implement and improve processes. The Clinical Trials division will continue to support clinical trial facilitation through direct patient care, patient education, patient advocacy, and care coordination.

Vision

Extend clinical trials to support patients and clinicians across the Stanford Health Care enterprise, including implementation of clinical trials into our EPIC Electronic Health Record

Mission

• To support the seamless transition of clinical research studies from both the Stanford University School of Medicine and Stanford Health Care frontline clinicians into care delivery settings across Stanford Health Care
• To support the integration of clinical research operations and practice standards across Stanford Health Care, assuring operational, clinical setting, and clinician readiness
