About Us: Community Benefits
As a not-for-profit organization, Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley reinvests any surplus into new services, facilities, and community health programs. Every three years we conduct a needs assessment to identify the greatest health needs affecting our community, then develop strategies to tackle these needs and improve the health and well-being of community members.
Through SB 697, the State of California requires all not-for-profit hospitals in California to complete and submit an annual Community Benefit Report. Although hospitals bring numerous benefits to their local economies, these reports are intended to document the ways in which each hospital goes above and beyond the core functions of a hospital to support the health needs of its community.
Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)
This assessment documents the process undertaken by Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley to determine the health needs of the community it serves. The implementation strategy outlines how those health needs will be addressed.
