Our team and facility are equipped to handle a wide range of medical problems. We treat anything from colds and upset stomach to chronic or critical illnesses.
Children who require additional care can be admitted to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, just down the hall from the Marc and Laura Andreessen Pediatric Emergency Department. Since Lucile Packard Children's Hospital provides high level care in all pediatric specialties, there is no need to transfer the child to another hospital.
During these challenging times, it is important not to delay care for your child’s emergencies. We are the only pediatric emergency department in the area that is uniquely prepared for pediatric emergencies, and we are taking every precaution to keep patients and families safe during COVID-19. Families may have the option to meet with a doctor over video visit at the Marc and Laura Andreessen Pediatric Emergency Department to fast-track care. The care team will determine if this type of visit is appropriate.
