Research Operations & Strategy (ROS)

Purpose

The Research Operations and Strategy (ROS) division within the ORPCS, Department of Health Equity and Research coordinates the development and integration research-related strategies, education, and operations into the overall functions of the department as part of its vital role in conducting nurse-driven theory based, ethical and humane research involving human subjects. They additionally provide guidance, expertise, and consultation a wide range of topics, including theory development/testing, strategy development, educational program, gap analyses, and other complex operational functions.

Mission

• To become an industry exemplar to showcase the ORPCS, Department of Health Equity and Research work that advances health equity, science, theory, and professional practice excellence in research
• To build research capacity through interdivisional and interprofessional partnerships across SHC and SOM to potentiate bridging the research-practice-education gap.
• To develop infrastructure to support agile, rigorous, operational research to support immediate operational and strategic health systems decision making. 
• To provide resources and expertise to support advancement of nursing research and dissemination of research findings in alignment with the Magnet® New Knowledge component.
