Research Quality & Compliance (RQC)

Purpose

The Research Quality and Compliance (RQC) division within the ORPCS, Department of Health Equity and Research, effectively plans, organizes, directs, leads, and oversees Stanford Health Care research quality, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement activities geared at strengthening the research infrastructure. We achieve this through collaboration with clinical areas and interprofessional partners, in the strategic design, development, progression, and sustainability of a comprehensive research framework, leadership support, oversight, provision of guidance and support and development of innovative research systems. Our overarching goal is to support quality, compliance, and improvement to ensure adherence to applicable clinical research internal and external policies, practices, standards, regulations, laws, etc.

Stanford Health Care’s Research Quality and Compliance Division is a preeminent and unique collaborative designed to support the highest level of research quality and compliance in the delivery of patient care and integral to Stanford Medicine’s mission, vision, values, operational plan, strategies, and philosophy of compassionate patient-focused care through excellence in research, education, and service in population health.

Mission

Sustain a rigorous patient care research quality and compliance program across SHC through intentional systems to engage participation and ensure precision, fidelity and adherence to internal and external regulations and guidelines.
