Stanford Health Care – Now
Stanford Health Care Volunteers for National Rebuilding Day
Stanford Health Care’s Community Health & Partnerships has supported Rebuilding Together Peninsula for over ten years. During this year’s National Rebuilding Day, Stanford Medicine staff and guests volunteered to help repair a local school in need. The school, Arbor Bay School, provides opportunities for children with mild to moderate learning differences to achieve academic and social success, achieved through highly individualized and specialized instruction by credentialed Special Education teachers combined with Speech and Occupational Therapy in a small classroom environment. The project included the construction, sanding and staining of five lunch benches, painting a mural and assembling a storage shed for the K-8th graders of Arbor Bay School.
