Stanford Medicine honors Luisa Buada and her lifelong contributions to addressing and improving the health of our community’s most vulnerable populations for over 50 years. After 20 fruitful years, Luisa stepped down from her role as the CEO of Ravenswood Family Health Network, a local safety-net clinic providing low-cost and free healthcare to un- and under-insured individuals. Stanford Medicine Children’s Health (SMCH) was the title sponsor of Luisa’s retirement celebration which brought together leaders, community members and nonprofits to reflect and honor Luisa’s contributions and legacy.  Sherri Sager, Ravenswood’s Family Health Network Board Liaison and SMCH Chief Government and Community Relations Officer, delivered heartfelt remarks to hundreds of attendees about Luisa’s commitment to community and impressive background as a woman leader.  Having helped found the organization and under her leadership, the clinic expanded its footprint to Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Sunnyvale in 2020, providing essential healthcare services to the most vulnerable populations.
