Spiritual Care Services
What Volunteers Do
Spiritual Care Services volunteers visit patients and families at the bedside and in waiting rooms in Stanford Hospital. They offer comfort and reassurance, provide a listening ear, express concern and encouragement and offer prayers, blessings and communion when appropriate.
Volunteers help patients and families overcome loneliness and find hope. They can provide a connection to their religious traditions and the larger community.
