4 Level Category Fast is an extension for Opencart e-commerce shop that modifies the native OpenCart category module. It makes it 4 level deep, and it loads the module extremely fast.

4 Level Category Fast includes a number of features:

4 LEVEL DEEP: this extension can show the category module with up to 4 levels deep while default module is only 2 level deep. For example: default category module can show categories Ladies >> Accesories in a category tree. This extension can show Ladies >> Accesories >> Jewellery >> Earrings.

SPEED: most of the category modules (including default opencart category module) are bottlenecks in OpenCart because they access database for many times if your store has lots of categories. It can take from 3 to 8 or even more seconds only to load categories. This extension is extremely fast, because it does not access the database at all - it saves full 4-level category tree to a file and loads it instantly. The website loads much faster. And faster is better for clients who browse the store, and it's better for SEO - search engines love fast e-stores.

NOTICE! For speed purposes this module does not count products in categories. So make sure Category Product Count is turned off in store settings if you want to use this module.

This extension uses original OpenCart Category module files, so it can be used with any OpenCart design template that is compatible with default Category module.

The extension works from vQmod xml file so no OpenCart files are overwritten.
