Our images to webp simply creates a copy of all your images in WEBP format, WEBP format is lossless (no image quality loss) and the filesize of images is much less - meaning faster page load times for users, especially on mobile!
This plugin does not do any browser sniffing (bad practice) and thus does not do any fallback for devices/browsers that do not support WEBP.
All the latest browsers now support WEBP - only very old devices do not, so why do expensive / sloppy browser sniffing and fallback code that is not needed anymore.
