Hospital Check-in
Parking & Registration
A hospital stay can be an anxious time for patients and their families. We hope the information here will make your planning easier and take a little of the mystery and complexity out of the experience for you and your loved ones.
Stanford is a large medical complex, with two inpatient destinations — one at 300 Pasteur Drive and the other at 500 Pasteur Drive. The two hospitals are located next door to each other and share a common parking garage. You will be notified about your registration location before your appointment.
When planning your visit to Stanford Hospital, please allow additional time to park and navigate yourself to your destination.

Parking
Parking is available for an hourly rate.
We provide courtesy transportation to transport patients between the parking garage, Comprehensive Cancer Center, 500 Pasteur, and 300 Pasteur.
For more information, please see Parking FAQs.
Extended Parking
Weekly parking passes are available at the Transportation Information Booth near the entrance of 500 Pasteur gift shop. They are good for seven consecutive days and allow for in-and-out privileges. If you have any parking or transportation related questions, please contact Stanford Medicine Transportation Services at TransportationServices@stanfordhealthcare.org, or by calling or texting 650-736-8000.
Registration
Be sure to check with your doctor's office in advance about where you should report for your procedure or any pre-procedure imaging or lab tests.
Check-in process
You will receive a call within 24-48 hours prior to your check-in to confirm your procedure location and planned start time. As a Level One Trauma Center, Stanford Hospital unexpectedly receives emergency and transfer patients from other area hospitals. As a result, your procedure start time can be delayed. Please feel free to call us the day of your check-in to inquire about any possible delays.
At check-in, you will need:
- A government-issued photo ID
- Your insurance card and co-pay
- Any documents such as your Medical Power of Attorney or Advance Directive
